How does the trace service work?
Advanced Debt Collection offer a nationwide debtor and people tracing service which identifies and tracks down individuals quickly and efficiently. We will assist you to pursue a debtor further upon a successful trace or to secure the return of unpaid goods.
You can trace a debtor at any time (up to 6 years from date of debt) but we recommend no less than 6 weeks after they have left their previous premises. This allows time for them to feel comfortable and they sign up for or/and redirect their accounts.
All we ask you to provide us with the last known property address you last had for your debtor. Full name including middle names, Date of Birth or approximate age. If you are unaware of the debtors last known address you can search Electoral Roll data here.
Our team will search various databases that we are licensed to access. We check for any accounts that have been redirected or opened in the person’s name. If they change their address on any existing accounts or open any new accounts, we will be able to find them. Typically, common accounts include things like banking, utilities, mobiles etc. We pride ourselves with the success of tracing debtors, our tracing team have been finding people for many years.
Every year millions of pounds are written off because debtors move on leaving no forwarding addresses or contact details. We have a vast range of current and historic data for both consumer’s and businesses.
Tracing Absconded Tenants
One of the most popular forms of Trace and Investigation are tracing absconded tenants. We recommend you leave it at least 6 weeks once they have vacated to give you the best possible change of success. As explained above, this gives them time to update all of their accounts to their new address.
Once we have found your previous tenant, we can assist with the next steps within the debt recovery procedure. If you have obtained a County Court Judgment (CCJ) you can find all the information about our enforcement services here. Alternatively, if you have not yet obtained a CCJ, we can also assist with the court proceedings for Litigation.
With our experienced and dedicated team of investigators, huge amounts of current and historic data, we excel in finding your debtor. Our success has proved time and time again that it is incredibly difficult to disappear completely.
